- Create 3D CAD models and corresponding detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
- Document technical specifications throughout the mechanical design and manufacturing process.
- Design and define parts and interfaces considering expected thermomechanical loads and environmental factors.
- Optimize vehicle structure, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, balancing weight and manufacturability costs.
- Maintain consistent layouts and manage building files throughout the design process.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, quality assurance, procurement, and internal/external manufacturing teams to ensure successful product development.

- Proficient in "catalogue engineering"
- Seal and fastener design knowledge
- Ability to select auxiliary electro/mechanical components
- Working knowledge of ISO GD&T
- Prototyping experience (including basic calculations, material selection, tolerance stack-up)
- Solid understanding of engineering materials and how various loads (tension, compression, bending, buckling, torsion, shear) impact structural parts
- Fluent written and spoken English (working language)
- Dutch language proficiency a benefit
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and TeamCenter PLM system
- Knowledge of metallic and composite structures
- Familiarity with latest prototyping methods (e.g., additive manufacturing)
