Manpower Employment Agency is seeking a Maintenance Technician E&I for Dow in Terneuzen.
Responsibilities of the Do Maintenance Technician
- Verify that all necessary information is included in the job package and provide feedback to the planner if discrepancies arise.
- Assess whether there are any technical, safety, or other issues that could impact the task.
- Ensure you possess the knowledge and experience to perform the task safely and effectively.
- Confirm that all critical procedures and protocols are available and review them thoroughly.
- Coordinate with the work planner to determine when the task can be carried out.
- Ensure the appropriate permits are requested.
- Check the availability and condition of all required tools and machinery.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with applicable procedures, using checklists where necessary.
- Consult with the supervisor or planner if additional actions are needed and complete an MMW form if required.
- Investigate the root cause of problems that necessitate new work orders, adhering to the "create a value-added work order" process.
- Communicate with the client if the job cannot be completed on time.
- Perform quality control and assist in determining whether the problem has been resolved.
- Ensure that the intended goals of the job have been met according to Benelux procedures.
- Complete necessary documentation for record-keeping and history updates (e.g., maintenance/engineering files).
Additional Responsibilities for the E&I Technician
- General competence in both preventive and corrective maintenance of standard instrumentation.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair issues with measurement and control equipment using basic techniques, manuals, or external resources for the following types:
- P and dP transmitters (flow, pressure, and level).
- Inline flowmeters (vortex, magnetic, ultrasonic, etc.).
- Level meters (displacers, floats, tuning forks, etc.).
- Temperature sensors (thermocouples, Pt-100s, with or without transmitters).
- Control valves and on/off valves (e.g., plug, ball, butterfly valves).
- Make independent decisions regarding repair issues with minimal support from colleagues.
- Ensure that the results of your work significantly and directly influence the work of your team members.
