De functieWithin ASML Business Line Application, we are looking for a talented system engineer, to join our Software Facility & Infra group within D&E Metrology and Patterning Cluster. In this group, we develop software infrastructure, diagnostics and facilities for both YieldStar and E-Beam Product-Lines. In this position you work with a talented team in transitioning into a new scalable & future-proof computing platform. You are expected to be a multidisciplinary engineer with broad experience in computer systems.
You will be a member of a scrum team working in multidisciplinary environment, in this environment you will interact with peer software engineers, DevOps teams, IT infra teams, HW engineers and other stakeholders. With your talent and experience you are expected to foster the team effort in making the transition toward the new computing platform.

Roles and responsibilities
- You work in SAFe organization, and you are part of a scrum team following agile/scrum way of working
- You understand our computer system domain and you familiarize yourself with our metrology products
- You use your expertise to steer solutions into the right directions and drive/support colleagues in realizing these solutions
- You are proactive in reaching out our stakeholders and align requirements, specifications and designs with them
- You apply best software practices to realize high-quality software
- You demonstrate end-to-end ownership for software deliverables, that include, documentation, design, implementation and testing
- You learn fast and stay passionate to expand your knowledge and expertise beyond computer systems
Education and experience
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field
- 8+ Experience a high tech industry in the role of a computer system engineer or in a relevant role
- Experience in scripting languages, e.g., Python, PowerShell, Shell
- Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in computer architectures
- Experience in software virtualization and containerization, e.g., Linux KVM, Kubernetes framework
- Experience in analyzing computer system performance and in using the right diagnostic tools in both Windows and Linux
- Experience in automating the installation and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in software lifecycle management
- Experience in computer networks
- Experience in cybersecurity is a plus
- Experience in cybersecurity is development in C# is a plus
- Experience in automated testing (e.g. Robot framework) is a plus
