Samsung SDS is looking for a System Support Specialist to join our Engineering Team within the Innovation, Projects, and Stock Control Group at our SDS Netherlands location. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for operational teams in case of system issues, ensuring smooth resolution of technical problems and maintaining continuous system performance across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
First Line System Support:
- Manage Operational System Issues: Provide support for operational system issues across multiple warehouse and transport sites.
- Diagnose and Prioritize: Assess and diagnose system problems, determine their impact, and prioritize actions based on operational urgency.
- Determine Necessary Actions: Identify and initiate the required steps to resolve issues. This may involve administrative actions and physical intervention when necessary.
- Cross-Department Communication: Collaborate with relevant teams across different departments (warehouse, transport, IT, logistics) to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Escalate Issues: If required, escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams or external partners.
- Maintain System Understanding: Continuously improve knowledge of operational systems, transport, and warehouse processes to stay updated on changes and enhancements.
- Monitor Follow-Up Actions: Ensure that actions are taken and that systems are properly functioning post-issue resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proof of System Issues: Replicate and validate system issues in a test environment, working closely with Logistics Engineering and Operations to propose structural solutions.
- Customer Implementations & Process Changes: Participate in the implementation of new customer solutions or process changes, including testing and go-live support.
- Identify Process Deviations: Monitor operational processes for deviations and inefficiencies, translating them into actionable improvement proposals.
- Suggest Solutions: Work with stakeholders to design and implement system improvements that align with operational needs and strategic objectives.
For this role we are looking for an ambitious candidate with:
- Experience in System Support: Proven experience in first-line system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Logistics and IT Knowledge: Understanding of logistics processes (warehouse and transport) combined with technical knowledge of IT systems.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose complex system issues and devise effective solutions.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with colleagues across multiple departments and locations.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and addressing system inefficiencies or gaps in processes.
- Warehouse operations and/or coordination skills
- 1 - 3 years working experience in a warehousing role
- Available to work in shift rotation (currently between 06:00 and 23:00)
- Eager to learn
- A proficient level of English, since this is the working language at Samsung
- Experience with MS Office, mainly Excel
- Relevant experience TMS and WMS systems
- Open to travelling between warehouses (Tilburg/Breda)
