Are you looking for a temporary job as a Transport Planner? (4 to 6 months)
Are you a logistics professional with a passion for optimizing transport processes? Do you have experience in transport management and working with Transport Management Systems (TMS)? Then we are looking for you!
What will you do?
As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and monitoring our inbound and outbound transport flows. You will work closely with various departments and external partners to ensure smooth daily transport operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in the implementation of our new Transport Management System (TMS).
Your tasks will include:
- Managing information on incoming trucks and coordinating site management with a focus on safety.
- Creating transport schedules in our (future) TMS system and resolving deviations.
- Communicating with freight forwarders about outbound transport via phone, email, loading lists, and EDI.
- Preparing transport documentation, including loading lists, CMRs, delivery notes, and sales invoices for customs purposes.
- Handling damage claims for outbound transport and informing all relevant parties.
- Monitoring and coordinating outbound shipments via track & trace and communication with freight forwarders.
- Organizing urgent deliveries and processing transport-related purchase invoices.
- Solving operational issues and finding solutions for daily challenges.
- Coordinating and distributing incoming deliveries from local suppliers.
- Actively contributing to the implementation of our new Manhattan TMS.
- A team player with a "getting things done" mentality and a customer-oriented approach.
- Flexible and energetic with excellent communication skills.
- Results- and KPI-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Logistics or Transport.
- Several years of experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Experience with SAP (ERP), Microsoft Office, and preferably a TMS system (e.g., Manhattan).
- Language skills: Dutch, German, and English.
