Functie
As Lead Engineer FEM your key responsibilities will include:
- FEM Analysis Deliverables: Ensure timely completion of all FEM analysis deliverables in the Project Documents and Activity List (PDAL).
- Team Supervision: Lead a team of approximately 10 FTE across 4 locations, overseeing modeling, meshing, analysis, post-processing, reporting, and implementation.
- Work Allocation: Collaborate with the Lead Structures and Lead Structural Analysis to prioritize and sequence work effectively.
- Data Management: Manage and communicate data flow internally and externally.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of all FEM deliverables.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with project and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver optimal client solutions.
- Client and Class Coordination: Liaise with Class and clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Engineering Excellence: Deliver high-quality engineering work within timeframes and budgets, adhering to quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in ship structures, gained in the shipbuilding and/or offshore industry.
- Proven experience with ANSYS (preferably APDL) Mechanical (implicit) is required.
- Experience with LS-DYNA (explicit) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ship class calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000 is a plus.
- Good command of the Dutch English language both written and verbal.
- Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
