De functieMain purpose of job
- Coordinating the logistics planning and control of multi-modal inbound and outbound shipments for HCR in line with Howden's logistic category management strategy and budget
- Monitor and maintaining shipping records and data to ensure all HCR logistic activities are conducted in compliance with Dutch and International laws and regulations
- Ensure processes and procedures are followed that ensure compliance with domestic and international trade rules, regulations, and laws.
- Ensuring that Compressors and Compressor components arrive at their destination on time, worldwide
- Ensuring that all import duties and obligations by third parties are timely and correctly processed
Accountabilities
- Accountable for inbound and outbound transport arrangements
- Outsourcing of all import duties and obligations by third parties by coordinating shipments
- Coordination and contact point for third party logistic suppliers for all arrangements.
- Plan, control and coordinate, HTC's shipping activities in accordance with HMRC / customs regulations.
- Obtain competitive quotations, possibly negotiate with freight suppliers and place purchase orders for the shipping of cargo, and offsite storage.
- Coordinate and control the freight forwarders used for shipping in relation to company health and safety policies and purchasing procedures.
- Monitor and report freight supplier's import and export on time delivery performance.
- Preparation of shipping documentation in coordination with the Finance, Projects and Quality departments to enable products to ship and be invoiced on time.
- Compile, check and contribute environmental data to comply with company environmental policy.
- Compile and maintain trade compliance records to meet HMRC requirements.
- Prepare, check and issue preliminary and final shipping documentation for company products before dispatch.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other departments requiring information on shipping processes.
- Investigate transport damage claims shipped by the company and seek compensation if necessary.
- Verify if appropriate tariff classification codes are being used.
- Classifying products - Classification Harmonized Tariff Codes and ECCN Export Control Classification Numbers - working with technical experts/ engineers/ product specialists.
- Cleaning up master data to ensure correct product descriptions, country of origin, Classification Harmonized Tariff Codes and ECCN Export Control Classification Numbers and ongoing management.
- Checking that Goods are imported and exported - determining the correct duty rates have been incurred.
- Supporting the creating of the ECMC forms (ethics compliance) for the Business
- Support Export licence applications
- Support providing CBAM Data if required for reporting purposes

Jouw profiel- Freight and industry background
- Bills of Lading / Airway bill knowledge.
- Knowledge and good understanding of shipping terms and processes
- Expert proficiency of international shipping
- Full understanding of Incoterms 2020.
- Firm understanding of VAT regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of classification multi-model codes.
- Experience within Logistics, with some trade compliance knowledge
- Experience in database management and handling large volumes of data
- Knowledge in international trade issues, with understanding of relevant import/export regulations and controls, customs activities and other relevant trade laws and regulations in EU
- Experience (3-5 years) in product classification, both for Harmonized tariff and export control classification number determination for EU
- Experience in management of restricted party screening process and implementation of a new Screening solution - preferred but can be trained.
- Knowledge of including export licensing and incoterms would be advantageous.
- Experience in working with technical engineers and product specialists and working with technical specifications preferred.
- Experience in dealing with external parties & Regulatory Authorities e.g. In applying for binding tariff rulings, working with GTC.
- Full understanding of BIZDOC and STRATECH
