Over de functieIn this role, you will work with large 15 kg blocks of cheese, including the aged cheese rind. Have you ever wondered why the cheese slices in the supermarket have no rind? That's your work!
As a Cheese Shaver at Uniekaas, you actually perform two key roles:

• Cheese Mover: During the first half of your shift, you'll be responsible for lifting the 15 kg cheese blocks from the shelf to the pallets.
• Shaver: In the second half of your shift, you'll carefully place the cheese blocks on your adjustable workbench. Using a specialized shaving machine, you'll meticulously remove the rinds, then neatly place the shaved cheese blocks on another pallet, ready for further processing. On the department, EPT is widely used, so it is important that you have experience.  You will work full-time in a 3-shift system with the following working hours: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, and 22:00-06:00.

• €16.13 plus an extra €4.83 per hour for evenings (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and a whopping €6.45 per hour for nights (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM) - 30% and 40% respectively;

Functie-eisen You will be working in a small department, so it is crucial that you are highly reliable. If you're not there to shave the cheeses, it affects all other departments at Uniekaas, making this a vital role!
Additionally, you should be:

• Physically Fit: Able to lift 15 kg, stand for long periods, and have the strength to remove the tough rinds from the cheese with the help of a machin;
• Available Full-Time: Able to work in a 3-shift system;
• An Excellent EPT Operator;
• Proficient in Dutch or English;
• Your Own Transportation to get to Kaatsheuvel;
• At Least 18 Years Old.

Our cheese masters select and mature the finest cheeses daily, resulting in a flavourful, high-quality product. Kaatsheuvel is conveniently accessible from Tilburg, Breda, and Waalwijk.

The Uniekaas team from Start People is also present at Uniekaas three days a week. On these days, we hold an open office during shift changes, where you are always welcome to stop by if you have any questions. Additionally, we use WhatsApp to ensure that we are easily reachable on the other two days as well !
